10 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with cryptocurrency payment firm ZEKTO and LK Ventures, the operator of the self-photo booth brand Life4Cuts, to introduce a won-denominated stablecoin payment system.

The pilot program will integrate BDACS-issued KRW1 stablecoin into payment and settlement processes at Life4Cuts offline retail stores, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Stablecoin Payments Move Into Everyday Retail The collaboration marks one of the first attempts to bring a regulated, won-pegged stablecoin into a mainstream consumer setting in South Korea.
