Crypto exchanges have been handing out trading fee discounts and one-time airdrops for years. But the fight for user stickiness is entering a different phase.

Bybit, the exchange that regularly claims the number two spot by trading volume, launched a unified rewards ecosystem on Tuesday that looks less like a promotional campaign and more like a structural moat.

Dubbed Bybit Galaxy, the program ties together spot, derivatives, and likely other product lines under one loyalty umbrella, according to the official announcement.

The language is vague on mechanics, but the intent is clear: make it harder for users to take their volume elsewhere.
