21 Brings Four Ethereum EVM Features Ontology, a decentralized AI data infrastructure project, has announced a scheduled mainnet upgrade to version 3.1.2, set to take effect at block height 20,800,000, which is expected to occur at 12:00 a.m. UTC on Aug. 21.

The upgrade introduces four Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) features aimed at improving smart contract efficiency and easing the migration of Ethereum-based code.

Key EVM Features Added The upgrade will incorporate four opcodes and concepts from the latest Ethereum environment into Ontology’s EVM: PUSH0, BASEFEE, MCOPY, and transient storage.
