In Solana news Today, the new Transaction V1 format went live on mainnet at approximately 01:00 UTC on September 15, 2026, raising the maximum size of a single transaction from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes, according to the Solana Foundation.

That is roughly 3.3 times more room for instructions, signatures, and account data packed into one transaction.
