Venom Foundation, a popular fintech entity, has issued a report confronting the blockchain market’s primary focus on active addresses for network adoption.

The report points out that this broadly cited metric does not provide a precise representation of the actual blockchain consumers any longer, raising the need for an exclusive analytical framework.

As per Venom Foundation’s official announcement, a notable portion of the respective active addresses is created by Sybil accounts, bots, automated smart contracts, and exchange infrastructure across blockchains.

The findings of the report indicate that the expanded address counts can possibly result in a misleading perception of network adoption and growth.
