What Does Agentic Era Mean For Ripple XRP?
Ripple (XRP) has expanded its XRPL developer kit to support Stripe and Tempo’s Machine Payments Protocol (MPP), a standard that lets autonomous AI agents pay for data, computing and other digital services without a human clicking through a checkout screen.
The update also adds support for the Open Wallet Standard, which gives developers a common interface for managing wallets across multiple blockchain networks. XRP traded near $1.36, up 4.6% over the past 24 hours.
The pitch is straightforward: as AI agents take on more autonomous tasks, they need a payment rail built for machines rather than people, and Ripple wants the XRP Ledger (XRPL) to be one of the available options.
That could expand the utility case for both XRP and RLUSD, Ripple’s dollar-pegged stablecoin. The central question is whether fresh integrations and transaction activity will translate into sustained, disclosed demand for those assets.
